Take Their Portrait
This part is easy.

Grab your camera. Take the pictures.

Use a seamless backdrop or a brick wall. It doesn't matter.

Just take good pictures.

And talk to the families. Use this time to share a story, share hope, or just share life. These moments, in front of the camera, are defining for those that you are shooting- for some, it may be the first time they have had a picture taken in a long time. You have the opportunity to make them feel loved, beautiful, worthy of attention. For the few minutes that they are in front of you, the sadness of their lives disappear and all that matters is looking good for the camera.

Take good pictures. Give hope.
